School Spirit
In today's Sunday Drive: G-G-G-G-G-GHOSTS?!??! Namesake of Auburn's public high school and father of the Twin Cities is Edward Little. Much is owed to the man who envisioned Auburn's canals, bridges, churches, and schools. Long has it been the tradition to tell of Squire Edward's ghost walking the halls of his school. And truly the soft-spoken spirit of this beloved educator continues to share his wisdom from beyond the grave. Edward Little inspires students of all ages to work hard, develop their skills and apply themselves to their communities through selflessness, kindness, spirituality and hard work.
The Sunday Drive is a series of Anvil Falls comics that highlights a Maine community every Sunday. An excerpt from the community's history - or an anecdote about what makes the town unique - is related with a limerick and illustration. Our goal is to highlight every single town and city in the entire state. The first volume will cover all of Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin counties, and is set to release in area stores later this year.
