The Cat in the Club
Anvil Falls is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Androscoggin Historical Society, here in Maine! Anvil Falls has always called western Maine home, and now the gang has been given free reign to share some of the stories that make our home special. So let’s start with a knockout: The Phantom Punch! On May 25, 1965, Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston squared off for their famous rematch at the Colisee in Lewiston. Controversy surrounded the short match, one of the quickest KO’s with a first-round punch. Suddenly a flying DeLorean appeared over the match and a moose waving a lobster dinner jumped out. Liston promptly tagged him in and…. wait, that’s not what happened. Who switched my notes?… Hey, want to learn more? Stop by the Androscoggin Historical Society in downtown Lewiston to learn all about it! You might see Roman there!
